Who am i?

My name Is Myanh Truong, pronounced as Mee-Anh.

A self-motivated Designer skilled in visual design, interaction design, product thinking, and cross-functional collaborations. I graduated from California Long Beach State University with a major in Graphic Design. I grew up in Silicon Valley, but recently moved to the Seattle Metro area in Washington.

I worked at Facebook, Expedia, and Blend Labs. Currently, I am leading designs for New Ventures at Toast, designing and innovating on experiences for both restaurants and consumers. Before joining Toast, I was a Product Designer at Facebook designing for both Enterprise and Consumer products, with an additional 5 years as a Business Product Specialist helping improve the quality of Facebook Ad products before shifting my career. I have also worked at Expedia as a Senior Product Designer and focused on improving the Hotwire product for both consumers and suppliers. I also led the revamp and redesign of the Hotwire Design System.

Design has always been my drive and passion. With all my designs, my objective is focused mainly on the user experience and solving people problems. I hold these principles to the highest standard. Aside from my day job, I also freelance in my spare time. My creative approach is to find the problem or tension in a project I am working on or interested in, and challenge myself to find a simplified solution.

Oh yeah, and I love dogs. Do you have one? If so, I would love to meet them one day.....oh and of course, you too! Anyhow, let's chat!

If you need my resume, feel free to shoot me an email at myanhdtruong@gmail.com

background to my logo

Coming to America as an immigrant, I wanted my logo to represent who I am and where I came from. Using my first initials "M", the angles are imitated from the shape of a star shown on both the American and Vietnamese flag. The colors are also taken from both flags, overlapping each other to symbolize the integration of both cultures in my life. Having love for where I came from and who I am, the logo also curves to resemble the shape of a heart.
